FALL 2025 WEEK 5 PLAYOFF SCHEDULE (12/7/25): Posted Tuesday
ALL TEAMS PLEASE READ!!! THE LIFFL IS NOT NON-PROFIT SO FOR US TO USE THE STADIUM SUNDAY WE NEED TO ALIGN OURSELVES WITH A LOCAL CHARITY. THAT CHARITY IS THE BETHPAGE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION.
THEY WILL BE COLLECTING A $5 CASH ONLY ENTRANCE DONATION AT THE GATE SUNDAY FROM ALL ADULT COACHES AND FANS!! PLEASE LET ALL OF YOUR FANS & COACHES KNOW SO THEY HAVE $5 CASH ON THEM.THERE IS NO VENMO/PAY PAL ETC!
IN ADDITION, AS ALWAYS, THE LIFFL WILL BE COLLECTING CANNED FOOD FOR LONG ISLAND CARES! PLEASE LOOK FOR THE PLASTIC DONATION CONTAINERS AT THE GATE
PLAYOFF SCHEDULES/SCHEDULING: Please make your team available to play at any time for playoffs beginning on Sunday, November 2nd. We try to accommodate schedule requests as best we can during the regular season, as we’re able to switch opponents and there’s greater flexibility. Playoffs have set opponents, where I can’t just switch them. My first priority is to keep the coaches that coach multiple teams separate. After that- any rescheduling to a different time, MUST be okayed by your opponent. If they choose not to- then game will remain as scheduled. On top of that, this is a Sunday league. Any conflicts that arise is something that your team/players/parents can address internally. That doesn’t become the league’s problem or your opponents. We wish all teams best of luck and your cooperation.
- The good news is, except for the 10 divisions still in playoffs, your 23 divisions finished the season really early! The bad news is our Super Bowl turf field permits are for November 23 & December 7, our traditional Super Bowl weekends. 11/30 is Thanksgiving weekend. So except for a few 6u divisions that finished 11/2, the rest of you are on hold until our turf site(Bethpage HS) is available. ALL the grass fields are not Super Bowl worthy.
- Rosters- please don’t get yourself and your team banned using ringers from teams that are now eliminated, or players you added that never registered. No player is allowed to play on more than one team. The rosters will be at the field! Everyone knows everyone at this point in the season so ringers are ALWAYS pointed out, trust us.
- Scheduling- During the regular season Ruben goes thru hoola-hoops to please everyone. He has 25 fields to work with. With the Super Bowls he has one(1) site to work with. You have to play when the league dictates. No one wants a forfeit to decide a season but the league is not going to let a basketball tourney decide when its Super Bowls are played. Be prepared to play either 11/23 or 12/7.
- Awards- Both winners and losers receive trophies at the tent. Make sure your players don’t leave. Do not take photos on the fields at the end of your game. Take your team photos at the tent with the trophies. Do not bring any food onto the field.
- Fans- Please make sure ALL your fans know they must be in the Grandstands. Only players and coaches are allowed on the field before, during, and after the game. There are no fans allowed to swarm onto the field after the game. We need to get the next game going as fast as possible, especially with it being dark by 4:30pm. The teams shake hands, you clean your sideline and come to the tent. There will be a NFL FLAG logo to take pics with.
- Sidelines – No players or Coaches are allowed past the 20 yard lines on the sidelines. Its a distraction to the players on the field.
